I’m willing to bet we have at least two things in common:
1. We love free stuff.
2. We love REAL FOOD.
This giveaway covers both of those things, and even has some FREE REAL FOOD, which is a wonderful combination of the two items above.
The heart behind this giveaway is Prop 37, which is a bill that will make it required by law for products containing genetically modified organisms to be labeled accordingly. It sounds like a no-brainer, but there are plenty of companies that do not want prop 37 to pass. Scary, no? Here’s a visual to give you an idea of how many “organic” brands are owned by companies that are fighting this measure:
Note how many of the companies above are ones you considered clean or organic businesses. Well, they sold out.
Since I don’t have millions of dollars (yet) I am doing what I can to bring as much awareness as possible to this issue, in the hopes that everyone who lives in California will make it to the polls this November. And if you don’t live in California, remember:
We vote with our dollars.
Please don’t support any of the businesses above that are fighting prop 37.
I know that sharing a video is a lot of work to enter a giveaway, and in this case, I’m okay with that. I hope that anyone who is reading this post cares enough about knowing what’s in their food to make the effort and help spread the word about this extremely important issue. While only us in California can vote on this proposition, other states will likely follow CA’s lead in future elections, especially if it passes!
And now for the fun part. Since this issue is all about keeping food REAL, I’ve gathered up all sorts of goodies that celebrate real food, and to encourage you to eat more of it.
